Srinagar, February 22 (KNO) : City center Lal Chowk Friday came to a standstill after business fraternity came on streets to protest against the continuous ‘hounding’ of Kashmiris in mainland India. According to KNO correspondent, Chairman Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation Yasin Khan told protesters that from past seven decades the business fraternity has been badly hit. “If this hounding of Kashmiris in Jammu and elsewhere parts of India then we will all come on roads and the protests will escalate," Khan said.
He said that since Kashmir is a 'conflict zone' many things will happen but 'there is a need to solve the issue'. “We want this solve this issue," he said. The protesters shut their shops and assembled to protest against the harassments of Kashmiris including students and businessmen. The protest was organised by Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other business fraternity.(KNO)
